Creative Market Fonts To Elevate Your Wedding Hair & Makeup Business

The Best Header Fonts for Your Bridal Beauty Website

Finding the right font can completely shift how your beauty brand feels to potential clients. As a wedding hair or makeup artist, your brand needs to reflect the vibe of your dream client—whether they love soft and romantic, bold and modern, or somewhere in between. And guess what? Fonts do a lot of the talking.

In this blog, I’m sharing some of my favorite Creative Market fonts for beauty brands—the ones that bring your personality to life, make your services look as polished as your portfolio, and help you stand out in a sea of sameness. If you've ever looked at another artist's site and thought, "Why does theirs feel so much more professional?" — fonts are likely part of the answer.

Definitions (No Jargon Here!)

  • Serif: Fonts with little "feet" or strokes at the ends of letters (like Times New Roman).

  • Sans Serif: Fonts without those strokes (like Arial).

  • Script: Fonts that mimic handwriting or calligraphy.

  • Monospace: Every letter takes up the same amount of space—can feel minimalist.

  • Kerning: The space between letters.

Why Fonts Matter for Wedding Hair & Makeup Artists

Let’s be real—your website is often the first impression. And if your fonts don’t match the quality of your work, potential clients might assume you’re less experienced than you really are. That might sound harsh, but I’ve seen artists lose dream bookings because their website didn’t feel elevated.

Fonts set the tone. Are you luxe? Approachable? High-energy? Fonts can subtly communicate all of that before someone even reads a single word.

Style Tips & Fonts by Bridal Aesthetic

For Luxury and Editorial Bridal Beauty Brands

These fonts bring that Vogue-level polish. High contrast serifs, refined details, and a touch of drama make them ideal for brands that feel upscale, timeless, and tailored for the modern luxury bride.

  • Think timeless serif fonts with high contrast or slightly exaggerated details.

  • Pair with a clean sans serif for a high-end feel.

For Soft and Romantic Wedding Artist Brands

Think flowing scripts, gentle serifs, and everything that says dreamy and delicate. If your clients are drawn to romance, florals, and timeless beauty, these fonts will speak their love language.

  • Look for calligraphy-inspired scripts or elegant serif fonts with soft curves.

  • Avoid anything too modern or geometric.

For Trendy and Modern Wedding Hair & Makeup Artist Brands

Bold fonts, striking contrast, and unique shapes—this section is for the artists who aren’t afraid to stand out. If your brand feels current, edgy, and high-style, these modern fonts will fit right in.

  • Go bold! Use experimental serif fonts or high-contrast sans serifs.

  • Just keep legibility in mind, especially for mobile.

For Cool, Minimal Bridal Beauty Brands

If you’re into clean lines, neutral tones, and understated confidence, minimal fonts are your go-to. These sans serifs and all-lowercase styles give your brand that editorial, no-fuss vibe your dream clients love.

  • Stick with clean sans serif fonts.

  • Monospace or all-lowercase can feel super modern and editorial.

Retro Fonts That Feel Fun (Not Outdated)

Retro fonts are back, and when used intentionally, they can make your brand feel stylish, editorial, and full of personality. The key? Choose ones that nod to vintage aesthetics without going full ‘70s diner (unless that’s your whole vibe). These picks are especially great for playful bridal brands, bold artists, or anyone who wants their website to feel like a fashion-forward flashback.

  • Think rounded serifs, groovy curves, or 90s-inspired typewriter fonts

  • Pair with a neutral sans serif to keep it grounded

How to Add Custom Fonts to Squarespace

You don’t have to be a tech genius. Here’s a quick overview:

  1. Purchase and download your font files (usually .otf or .ttf).

  2. Upload the fonts to your Squarespace site under "Custom Files."

  3. Use CSS to assign your new fonts to headings or body text.

  4. Don’t forget to check mobile view!

Where to Test Fonts Before You Buy

Creative Market lets you preview font text. I love to see it all together so I:

  1. Right click on the text preview

  2. Copy image

  3. Paste into a blank Canva project

  4. Play around with fonts until I get the combo I LOVE

Pro tip- when using a cursive header accent font, keep in mind the weight (or thickness) of both fonts. I find that pairing two header fonts with a similar weight help it flow better. Then, when you set up custom fonts in Squarespace, you’ll set up the accent font for when you italicize your header. No coding experience needed when you use the Website AssistantGPT!
